Fantasy Fanatic Book Review and Recommendation - Eclipse by Stephenie Meyer
60Eclipse
Betrayal. Secrets. Obsessions. All of these are about to impact the the life of Bella Swan in a way that not even Edward or Jacob may be able to save her from.
With Jacob feeling betrayed and avoiding her, Bella is working double time to restore a friendship that her actions and choices have left damaged. Meanwhile, Edward works to protect Bella from the dangers, he thinks, a friendship with a werewolf brings; as well as trying to protect her from an unknown danger building in a nearby city by keeping it a secret from her. Obsession fuels the motives of a vengeful vampire who is out to destroy Bella, even if it means creating an army of new born vampires to do it.
Now vampires and werewolves must find a way to put aside their innate hatred of one another if they are to keep a common friend safe, Bella. Both sides will have to pull out all stops if they hope to overcome the powerful threat that is headed straight for Forks and straight for Bella.
Eclipse
The third book of the Twilight Saga, Eclipse, gets 9/10 fanatic points.
I very much enjoyed this book. It has deception, action, romantic struggle, and much more as characters once purposely separated collide to accomplish a common goal. I love the interaction of the vampires and werewolves, something the film does not even come close to matching. Stephenie Meyer did a fantastic job when organizing how this book would progress and with building up suspense to the epic battle to come. I'm not sure if I enjoyed the build to the battle or the battle itself more, but they were both pretty awesome. Very well written book and highly recommended.
